I understand. Totally.
I developed fibro 24 years ago after a terrible fever.
I was 18.
It took until I was 25 for a female doctor in a small town to listen to me and figure it out.
I thought I was nuts. I couldn't do my hair without needing a nap.
My ex an his family thought I was lazy and insane.
What they didn't realize was everything hurt. Everything made me tired. And that made me angry.
I couldn't work. I still can't.
I've had 2 nervous breakdowns since 05.
I take Zoloft and Xanax. It helps me understand what I'm going through and keeps me from being homicidal. :-)
I took neurontin, elavil and buspar for this.
Nothing really helped. Side effects were drastic in my case.
As you can see I'm not sleeping.
I am up at 3 am. I've been sick for months.
Cold, flu, who knows.
I just wanted to reach out and say you are not alone.
Not by a long shot.
Here if you need a friend. :-)

That plus heat, rest, pacing seems to help the most. It's still tough...nothing makes it totally go away.
We look forward to getting to know you.
Hugs, Elizabeth
I have been diagnosed with Fibro almost a year ago. I currently do not take meds. I have chosen stuff like daily excerrsize, keeping my stress low and resting when I can. I have two jobs and constantly suffer silently as well. Its a hard life.. At times i wonder why me? Anywho.. welcome... DS has been a god sent for me as i do not know anyone personally with Fibro. So, everyone here has been great!
