I have been prescribed Lyrica. Have had immediate weight gain and swelling of feet and hands. I also take Cymbalta in the AM. I am going to ask my doctor if I can change to Savella. I just recently got off diabetic meds and don't want to get back on them. I was down 12 pound, but now...gained it all back. I am pretty sure my diet has not changed that much. So depressing. I had gone from 100 mg 3 times a day, to 75 mgs 3 times a day and I am now on 50 mgs 3 times a day. Pain relief is very noticeable if I miss a dose as I have tried that as well.

I took Savella for a very short time. I noticed an immediate improvement in my symptoms. But, it made me very emotional and I just could not deal with that. Some people do well on it and others experience problems. Try it and see - nothing ventured, nothing gained. Take care.

BTW - Lyrica is notorious for immediate weight gain. It doesn't affect everyone like that but often enough that it is a big problem. Have you tried Gabapentin which is in the same class? You may not have as many issues with it. Just a thought. Take care.

I didn't like Savella, but that was just me. It made a small difference in my pain for like 3 months and then didn't seem like it was working anymore. It made me sweat a lot and the first month I was on it I felt like I was pregnant. I was nauseous and sweaty for 4 wks. The nausea went away unless I missed a dose. And I always get constipated with medicine, so that was a given. Good luck, I hope you find something that helps your pain.

You can have weight gain with gabapentin. I tried Savella, but unfortunately couldn't tolerate it. It made me very nauseous. It was upsetting because I heard that a lot of people had great results. Everyone is different.

I tried Savella I had to stop it it gave me tachycardia. I ended up in the hospital twice before my Rhumey figured what was causing it. My Cardiologist had no idea that tachycardia was a side effect of the meds.

My cat is going on trial for crimes against skink-anity. SIX in six weeks. Three this last week alone. The crack is maybe 1/4 inche wide. Maybe. Skink skitters past, her paw shoots out, her claw hooks in, she yanks, and somehow, having defied physics... WHAM. Skink-o-rama.Now, don't get me wrong, it's nice that she's a pesticidal maniac, but OMG. Skinks do no harm. They don't come inside. WTF.So,...

I'm alive, I'm sleeping like a rock, and for some reason I wanted cherry juice so that seems to be helping. (??? Weirdo that I am.)***Infamous therapies over history:1. The Attic. The madwoman in the attic is a motif in literature going waaaaaay back: the nutty female relative is locked in the attic.
