The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.

I have had Fibro for over 20 years now and it seems to be getting progressively worse. I've had a few dr's in the past want to take me out of work but I fought through it because I had 4 children to take care of and I couldn't imagine how I'd maintain my lifestyle on a fixed income like Social Security.
Now I'm down to a 10 year old and I'm thinking about tapping out of work completely. My body just hurts so bad nothing seems to work. Some doctors believe in Fibro others do not. I have a partner whose very attentive yet still I don't think he fully understands how hurt I am. Most days I lay in the pain praying for strength to get thru the work day. After work managing the household and attending to my son just really leaves me almost to tears. I go on the bathroom shower or bath and just cry hoping they don't hear me. Friends and family see my smile but it's really a HUGE front. Somedays I just wish God would take me. Isn't that a selfish feeling when I know people love me? I'd NEVER hurt myself and I'm very spiritual but there are those days where I'm like, "Damn why am I here in soo much pain?"
I know that this group understands me because we suffer together. I just feel alone, hopeless, and extremely tired. Right now I should be working but I'm just tapped out... almost no more cares to give.

First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

That's not a selfish feeling. I've prayed to be released. Who hasn't? When I was a kid, I went to Catholic school, was raised Old Catholic way, and we were even taught that despair is the great sin against hope.... but even Jesus felt it, sofeel it and let it pass.
Weird to think of that now.
Point being: Save yourself so you can give your body a chance ot rebound. Even in fibro it does happen, and not working might give you more flexibility in trying treatments?
Support to you. It's tough.
