Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
Good luck to you.
I know you can safely take Tylenol (but I also know that won't help the pain much either).
And since you need to stay away from heat.....your next option may be physical therapy. My girlfriend had the similar pains early in her second pregnancy and she had to go to PT. It helped her.
Also get a good support belt. (Try Motherhood Maternity) They have awesome prices and actually some cute clothes.
At night time you can take benadryl to help you relax and fall asleep.
But all of this really should be under the direction of an OB. Your baby needs that. I'd hate for something I recommended above harm either one of you.
Good luck hun. Also, have you thought about acupuncture or a chiro?
I went through the same thing while I was pregnant. My fibro was completely out of control. So much so, that towards the end of my second trimester,I was put on narcotics. This was a very scary decision for my husband and I, but I was really suffering and if the mother isn't feeling well, the baby"s emotional well being isn't going to be good either. I was monitored weekly by a perinatologist. We were blessed with a healthy baby boy, he didn't have any withdrawl symptoms and he is now 2.5 years old with above average intelligence. You probably will need to see a pain doc, your OB most likely isn't going to prescribe for you because of liability.
