Anyone with FMS should think twice about steroid use as it lowers your immune system. Since our immune systems are already under seige from lack of sleep and other "perks' associated with FMS steriods should be a drug of last resort for an appropriate use. Take care and enjoy the weekend.
I hope that there is something else recommended for you rather than a steroid.
They are just so hard on the body and I will only use them short term now after my experience..
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2008. My symptoms changed and I no longer have the wide spread pain I did have, but I was left with swollen, red, hot, sore knees and fingers. My doctor trialed me on a month dose of Prednisone, which helped a lot! She said that that's a good indication that it's an autoimmune inflammatory arthritis rather than Fibromyalgia.
Good luck.
