Sigh. I hate "the fog".
Honestly - the symptoms are difficult to pinpoint, because they are so varied.
You may have more of a sensitivity to cold, so maybe you could try keeping warmer. Wearing layers, getting an electric blanket or a heating pad.
I try to keep my salt content lower than average because salt gives me migraines, but maybe the doc is right about your eyes? Or honestly - some of us have lots of allergies so you may just be reacting to an allergen.
I really hope you can find some relief with something. I don't feel confident enough to give you recommendations about medications or supplements, but you could look into what would help with certain symptoms? I dunno - it can be dangerous.
But I wish you luck.
*lots of hugs*
I went for a sleep study and was diagnose with sleep apnea. I too have a machine and am having a horrible time finding a mask that doesn't irritate my sinus passages and cause sinus infections. I see my dr. next Monday and hopefully we can find something that works for me. I hear using the machine helps alot but have to be honest--it's hard to sleep with that mask on. Not at all sexy either. lol
I think every dr. will tell you to exercise more with fibro even though most of us can barely walk to the bathroom most days. Just try to move around as much and best as you can. I too watch my salt because of swelling problems--especially in my hands. The eyelid swelling could be from crying too. I find when I cry a lot that my eyelids swell and also I see little red dots around my eyes. I usually put a cool cloth over my eyes for awhile and that helps. And do I cry alot?? Heck yeah! Fibro (and my other conditions) has changed my life completely and there are times I can't deal with it. So I cry.
I hope you are feeling better soon. Let us know what the results are on your sleeping test. Take care, Mare
I have been using a cpap machine for about a year.
I just hate feeling sore and tired.
It helps to know I'm not alone.
