PLEASE HELP, I NEED ADVICE.
I read the "How do you deal with doctors?" post and I feel like everyone who posted is just like me.
I am crying now because I just went to a rheumatologist who knows I'm applying for SSDI but won't take the time to listen. IT HAPPENED TO BE ONE OF MY "GOOD" DAYS. He announced that I was "improved" because I didn't have pain at the moment I was there. He laughed at me when I tried to describe what I go through when I stand for awhile or sit for awhile.
I NEED ADVICE: SHOULD I FAKE IT WHEN I SEE THE DOCTOR?? SAY EVERYTHING IS TENDER EVEN IF IT ISN'T ON THAT PARTICULAR DAY?
I brought him a typed list, describing what I've been going through because my cognitive functioning these days is so bad I can't speak to him & he's always in a hurry.
I NEED HIM FOR SSDI. He initially made a good report, diagnosed me with fibro, and said my condition was "guarded".
My symptoms vary from day to day, and I've been resting more, so today I didn't have pain while I was in his office. So he said I was "improved" because of that, even though I told him I don't feel improved, I feel worse. I can't stand for more than a few minutes, and pain hits like a wall after sitting for a couple of hours.
He seemed to be laughing at me, as if I were exaggerating. I'M SO SCARED HE'S GOING TO TELL SOCIAL SECURITY I'M EXAGGERATING BECAUSE I WASN'T IN PAIN AT THAT MOMENT WHEN HE TOUCHED ME.
AM I SUPPOSED TO FAKE IT WHEN I SEE HIM?????
I DESPERATELY NEED SSDI, I HAVE NO INCOME. I try to work and then collapse, have been for 3 years and didn't accept I was disabled until recently.

i had my GRd D 5yrs & she wanted me to walk to the park w/her 6 blks I have been in bed for 5days now! I have a Rhumo doc that laughs @ me also! He say's what do you exspect you have "FIBRO" live w/it..i also need him for SS & state aid!
