I am on a handful of vitamins a day to try and help, but they have not done much for the pain. I would love a natural approach, but there is not a lot to choose from.
for sleep Melatonin, chamomile
for daytime energy: Bcomplex, D3, Fish Oil, Iron (if you're low in iron), D-Ribose, ATP, Glutathione (helps boost immune system), and NADH
Some people have some pain relief with massage, accupuncture, reflexology. Good luck and I hope something helps!
I sure hope you can find something to help that won't give you any trouble.

That said, yeah, the less medication I'm on the better I feel, too! Good luck!
I only use integrative medical doctors because they are trained in conventional and natural medicine. I don't just get prescriptions thrown at me during my appointments. I get a plan of action designed to treat my entire body.
I am on a variety of supplements. The list is very long, so you ca. Message me if you'd like to know all of them. I also do aqua therapy in a heated pool 3-4x per week. After I'm done with aqua therapy I get into the hot tub. I use a lot of heat to relax my muscles and I even sleep with a heated blanket.
If you live in a state where medical marijuana is available, you may want to consider it. It works wonders for fibro pain.
I do chi gung (all over youtube) and yoga. Lots of good raw food. It does as much as I can expect. GL
So my answer has been to somehow treat each symptom, and (knock on wood) I don't have to deal with side effects. My doctor and I have continued trying things, until we hit upon the combination that fit me just right, or as close to right as we can get. I simply can not live my life in 24 hours of uncontrolled pain.
I really hope you find the answer for you.
Sorry to ramble on. I hope you can find a new rheumy or maybe your general practitioner can help. Until they find a definite cause for fibro, I don't believe there will be any pill that will handle all the symptoms of fibro. Good luck Peg!!!
Find yourself a dr. you can trust and try again till you get the right pills for your pain. We shouldn't have to suffer without chemical help. That's what I think. Abby
