past pregnancies

I have a daughter who has just started seeing a counselor for some issues and when she told the therapist her mom had fibro the therapist asked what my pregnancies had been like. When my daughter told her I had been sick from morning to night and had two preterm deliveries the therapist said she lots of woman with fibro who had difficult pregnancies.

Just wondering if others here on this blog had experienced difficult pregnancies and deliveries?

I had a difficult time getting pregnant, my Dr said it was because I had endometriosis. I have 3 wonderful kids. My first pregnancy was great I had no problems until I started having contraction at 34 weeks. With meds and bed rest, he came a week early. My second pregnancy was good except I was very fatigue. I had him at 37 weeks. My 3rd pregnancy was good until the last 2 months, I started having gallbladder problems. My Dr. induced me at 37 weeks, after my daughter was born, I had my gallbladder removed. I didn't suffer morning sickness with any of the pregnancies.
I hadn't heard people with fibro having difficult pregnancies but it wouldn't surprise me.

I had the difficult pregnancies before I came down with fibro. The therapist said she has seen lots of women who had difficult pregnancies and then sometime later got fibro.

I had not heard this either so I told my daughter I would post this question on this blog and let her know the results.

I was advised I have PCOS, this was prior to getting pregnant and I was advised I would more than likely need fertility treatments if I wanted to think about a pregnancy.

Got married and pregnant all in the same week. LOL.

I miscarried with my second pregnancy and it was about a year later I became pregnant again with our second child.

It was shortly after he was born that I was handed my fibro dx.

I wonder how many of these statistics this doctor has gathered are living with 'other' medical conditions besides fibro?

I haven't heard that before either. Some say that stress plays a big part in developing fibro later. Maybe stressful pregancies and having the baby too early is being factored in. That would be enough stress. Not to mention possible health problems for the baby as they get older.

I think my fibro started for two reasons, one hereditary and two, possible miscarriage. Doctors did not want to see or help me, so they did nothing when I had 4 months of nonstop menstrual bleeding. Shortly after that, I was extremely fatigued and then came chronic pain not long after. I was 19 years old. With my daughter I was in labour 24 hrs and had hard back and front labour, and not breach but upside down. Son came next with 34 hrs and same predicament (upside down). He was jaundiced and didn't breath well right away. Both have varying chronic pain/fibro conditions but daughter developed juvenile rheumatoid arthritis as well. During pregnancy with daughter, I had major gall stones and attacks and with son, kidney stones and attack. PS my mom has fibro and she had two breezy labours.
