Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
You might ask about this on the RA site. Probably a lot more users there.
Have you tried warm towels wrapping your hands?
Basically you use a few towels. Wet a towel and wring it slightly...get most of the drips from it so to speak.
Then microwave that in a microwave safe plate or dish for 1-2 minutes.
Once it's done you need to use tongs. Place the wet towel in a thicker dry towel. Wrap your hands in that. The moist heat feels incredible.
Basically it's on the same basis as paraffin wax dips. Warmth. Less mess and you can just toss the towels over the shower rod when you are done. I'd suggest using hand towels or wash cloths before going with big towels.
A bathtub full would be lovely! But I'm afraid I'd never get out.
