I take Gabapentin tried Lyrica but went back to Gabapentin as I felt no difference but in my wallet.
What works for me may not work for you and as they say it is trial and error in thise war on Fibro. If you have questions or concerns regarding a new medication call your Doctor but be ready as you may have to talk to a nurse or PI.
If your not keeping a journal I would highly recomend that you do as this is a good time to see daily any changes and you can look back and write notes for you next Doc Visit.
The only thing was a slight depressed mood at times. Good luck with it, I would go back to it, if I could get off the lyrica(hard). Fibrohyg
My doctor explained the differences between Lyrica and Neurontin but I didn't really pay much attention. At this point it's the only thing left to try and I'm sick of the flares.
I'll let you know how it goes when I start it.
I quit looking at potential side effects, I look for the main ones and leave the rest alone. The biggest side effect I've had to deal with is being sleepy when first starting out or upping the dosage but that passes once my body gets used to it. I keep a journal of how things are so my doctor knows how to help me better as well.
What works for me may not work for you or others. With FMS, it's trial and error and takes time to figure out what works. I hope you try it and I hope it helps you. Warm Hugs
