Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
I have had this for 11 years. I take a combo of meds, suppliemnts, heat, massage. I too have issues with side effects.
Malic acid works well on the muscle pain. I use a sock filled with rice for moist heat for the costeo.

I have mostly pain, fatigue, gastritis (chronic), depression/anxiety (those are controlled by meds), and arthritis.
I'm so sorry you're unable to take meds to help. I take an antidepressant, celexa, a muscle relaxer at night for sleep, and norco during the day for pain.
I also take a whole food vitamin, omega 3, vitamin d-3, and magnesium.
By the way, I sent you a private message.
Take care...Elizabeth
I take Tramadol, muscle relaxer, Neurontin [just started that], and also I get a lot of help from alternative therapies such as accupunture and Reiki. I do a lot of meditation, and frankly, if I can mediate lying down and somehow fall asleep, that's how I deal with my pain many days.
I have a lot of side effects too, so my meds list for Fibro is small, but the docs want me to try methadone and I just can't bring myself to do that now.
Welcome and I hope you will get lots of good advice here. I know you'll get tons of warm support like I do!!
Your symptoms sound very similar to mine....I also have insomnia and paresthesias. I've had good results with D-ribose for energy, Magnesium for pain, Vitamin D-3, and cutting out processed sugar.
