Hi everyone! It seems we have new ppl on everyday which means there are soo many if us out here suffering and still no real treatment!!!I don't know why we aren't a priority . Fibro is sooo debilitating! I remember(which isn't often)reading something that said take your real age and add 30 years for fibro !!that sounds right to me,Plus all the tag along illnesses and endless meds!!My IBS Diareah has been soo bad that I was actually considering taking a healthy persons fecal matter( I no I sounds beyond gross ,but they are doing studies that say it works)Just soo frustrated and still fighting for disability !had to get my rant out !!thanks for listening

Hi Lauren, it's Angee!

You might want to ask your Rhuemy Doc to perform blood tests for auto-immune diseases. Especially, if you are not responding to Fibro meds.

Just a thought! Keep searching for the answers.

Not a bad idea there, to get tested for everything under the sun now, while you're still young and not really 30 years older than you are. When I was diagnosed, my doctor just gave me a bunch of tests because he said that he wanted to have a baseline for me (I was in my mid-40's) anyway. He said that getting the tests would allow me to know where I need to be concerned and not bug him when I have pain in my chest, which is pretty often. I know how to determine the difference in the pain I have and the pain I'd have if my heart were bad. I actually have a trigger point on my chest, so I just press on that and if it's tender, it isn't a heart attack!!! Yay.

I recently had to stop taking the new depression drugs I was on because of side effects and am now back on the Paxil I took for years any years. The best drugs for me have been Tramadol (Ultram) which is a long-lasting pain medications, Vicodin or Norco for breakthrough pain, the Paxil and Klonopin at night for sleep. I have other things that I take, but these are the ones I consider to be directly related to the FMS and CFS/ME.
