Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
Also, I keep a hard copy of the original rheumatogist's workup for disability, etc. She hit all the right areas.
I would make notes for the appointment. Keep your statements objective. Good luck!!
I would just try to explain what a typical day is, exactly what kind of pain you have and how it is limiting your function. I hope it goes well for you!
I just found a really great GP for all my other problems, my doctors do not want to touch the fibromyalgia - that's why I go to a pain clinic. It's taken me about 10 years to find one and she's young, thank God! All we can do is take it a day at a time. Some days are better than others!
Do you ever get to the place where you just want to give up?
I've tried so hard for so long. You mention keeping a journal or notebook. I've done that in the past.
I've been told by a doctor "you should stop that, this can become an obsession. Other doctors never had any interest in them.
My visits with doctors since 2013 have all been pretty stressful.
Anyways I do appreciate everyone's posts. I believe I posted this question sometime in the past, but my memory isn't as good as it used to be and I don't know if a way to go back.
Maybe this is a vent of sorts, with helpful reinforcement feedback.
Anyways, thanks again for taking time to read this.
