I was diagnosed with fibro 2 years ago and my whole life has changed. I can't take any pain medications because they make me really sick. The only medication I take for fibro is Neurontin and a muscle relaxer called Zanaflex. It helps some but it doesn't completely take away the pain. I have found other ways to help with my pain and was wondering if any of you guys have tried it or if it works for you. I love to drink hot tea and it seems to soothe my pain when I drink it. Another thing that helps with my pain is classical music, nature sound music, and meditation music. I also keep a heating pad with me at all times. The comfort of the warm tea and the soothing sounds of mellow music helps me zone out and forget about my pain at least for a little while. I was just wondering if these things work for anyone else. The fibro has affected my sense of smell and my sense of hearing. I also burn scented oils when I need something soothing. I like these methods for myself instead of taking so much medicine. I also have an oil that I rub on my body that has frankincense and myrrh. I like it al lot and the smell helps with my sense of smell to soothe me. If anyone has any other ideas I'm open to all suggestions.
