I think it is time I change my muscle relaxer, I've been taking Flexeril and it just doesn't have any effect anymore. Robaxin did nothing at all from the first but increase my nausea. Anyone know of a better muscle relaxer? I see my doc in a couple days and will request a change. I still want to cut way down on Neurontin because of the massive weight gain regardless of how I eat. Can't seem to do it because I am under dosed for this amount of pain as it is so when I try to cut out 300 mgs a day I end up going for that half pill and taking it because the pain is too great.

Has anyone heard or read if there is a blood test available for XMRV yet? One our doctors can order? Thanks. : )

The only test for XMRV right now is the one you have to pay for and I think you have to get your doctor to draw the blood. I heard one person say their doctor wouldn't.

Skelaxin is a good Muscle relaxor but it's expensive It doesn't make you sleepy which is what I like about it. I have to much fatigue and all the other ones I've tried just make me more tired. Because it's expensive I only use it on an as needed bases.

There is a blood test from a certain lab, I can get you the phone number but it is 400.00 and they do not take any insurance yet. Rain

Hi Sherry, I've been taking Soma for a few years. He prescribed up to 3 per day but I just take it at bedtime.

Enough to help me sleep but not wake up groggy.

The following link is the only lab that is connected to the WPI the institute that did the research and created the test. VIP is the lab out of Navada.

It is not recommended to use any other lab because their test could be questionable.

I take Skelexton and Oxcarbinpinze. They work well together. They are muscle relaxors. I also take them with Hydrocodone. I hope you can get some help soon!

Thank you all for the suggestions. I recall hearing or reading somewhere that WPI would have the blood test available by possibly mid-November. I have no way to pay 400.00 for the test so must wait. I took Soma a few years ago with narcs after a back incident that took awhile to recover from and I've never been the same since and things were bad enough before that. Soma did increase the nausea too.

Lovinsah I am interested in that second med you mentioned but I think it is misspelled as it is not in green print as the other meds typed here. Anyone know the correct spelling? I've never heard of it. Thanks again, I appreciate you all. Less pain and more energy to us all. : )
