Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
My current doctor is an integrative medical doctor and their clinic specializes in chronic pain. At her clinic, we created an individualized plan to attack my fibromyalgia based on low serotonin, adrenal fatigue, several vitamin deficiencies, and nutritional deficiencies. I met with one of her nutritionists and changed my diet to exclude foods that I was intolerant too; such as: gluten, sugar, dairy etc. She also helped to address an overlapping candida/leaky gut issue. I continued with the aqua therapy, massage therapy, heat therapy and pacing regimen that I had created. Today I'm about 70 percent better and some days I feel close to normal.
While the Meyers cocktails helped somewhat, I received the greatest amount of relief by working with my current integrative doctor to create an individualized, multi-faceted plan. If I were you, I would find a good integrative doctor, who has had success by helping their fibromyalgia patients to create an individualized healing plan. Best Wishes to you!
I believe nutrition is part of the three legged stool to ongoing maintenance of fibro, where rx therapy for pain and complementrary treatments, such as chiro/massage/aquatherapy/acupuncture....are the other two. Just my two cents!
The Myer's Cocktails helped, abut didn't solve the problem as he thought they would. I had a series of 6 over 6 weeks, and then would go in for one every 2nd or 3rd week for about 9 months. My doctor finally decided my body doesn't hold on to nutrients the way a normal person's does so now I make sure I get from 800 to 1,1100 mg of magnesium a day with equal amounts of calcium as a 1 to 1 ratio is best. I also take vitamin D3 and K2 with it as all 4 work together.
Here's an article about how fibro could be caused by mineral deficiency:
