I have IBS, RA and possibly Fibromyalgia. I recently went to the er with numbness in left side of my face, left hand, floating chronic pain and general malaise. I've had heart tests, mri of my brain and blood tests and they all came back fine. The doctor at the hospital said I didn't need to come to the hospital again for this. He said I was a good candidate for medical cannabis. He went on to say people die every year from things like salt and Tylenol but no deaths from marijuana. Arizona where I live just legalized it for medical purposes. I would try anything for relief but my rheumatologist has already stated he would not treat anyone using medical marijuana. Anyway I'm posting this to see if anyone has any wisdom to share with me about this subject. Is this route a good or bad idea? Thanks in advance.
I think it is unfair that doctors and pain clinics refuse to treat you if you chose to use MMJ. NOW if they could sell it and make a profit, then they would be all for it. But since they don't make money on it and they feel that there may be counter actions with the drugs they prescribe. PERSONALLY.....I have taken all their drugs and used my MMJ and had no adverse reactions. So I tend to just keep my mouth shut with some docs. Now my DO and acupunturist are both pro-MMJ so I have no problems there....fortunately.
I suggest you try it. Find you a shop with a budtender that knows their product and tell him what you need. If you are a first time user, let him/her know that too.
