I've heard about people who have cancer that spreads to many places in their bodies. I just have to wonder sometimes about this body-wide pain and spasms that we get with Fibro.
Sometimes I just feel sure that I have cancer because everything hurts or feels sick, burns, feels tired, can't cope etc etc. You know... all the symptoms.
How do you convince your doctors to look a little further... eliminate possibilities? They just label Fibro and don't try to figure out all the individual little aches, pains and odd feelings we get.
I know this sounds like anxiety and it probably is to a point. But it just seems to impossible to have pain in every part of my body and that it is all Fibro. Maybe a little denial too. But I'd sure like to be able to ease my mind.

My cat is going on trial for crimes against skink-anity. SIX in six weeks. Three this last week alone. The crack is maybe 1/4 inche wide. Maybe. Skink skitters past, her paw shoots out, her claw hooks in, she yanks, and somehow, having defied physics... WHAM. Skink-o-rama.Now, don't get me wrong, it's nice that she's a pesticidal maniac, but OMG. Skinks do no harm. They don't come inside. WTF.So,...

I'm alive, I'm sleeping like a rock, and for some reason I wanted cherry juice so that seems to be helping. (??? Weirdo that I am.)***Infamous therapies over history:1. The Attic. The madwoman in the attic is a motif in literature going waaaaaay back: the nutty female relative is locked in the attic. (See: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte for a grotesquely racist version of it, and Charlotte Perkins...

Also, with multiple illnesses----oh geez, do I know that feeling----you'd think with "just" epilepsy and fibro and PTSD, I'd be chipper, but since a bad fall in 2011, I'm partially disabled and convinced I'm a big old lump of ambulatory compost. Because that's how I feel. As if I *must* be rotting for it to be this *rotten*. ...
Time to talk to the docs you *trust* to be hoenst, and rant away here, okay? Anxiety is something we all know:-) Purrrrrrrrz.
Guess I just have a hard time believing that Fibro can cause so much pain in so many areas. The MS makes everything worse and then my anxious mind drifts off to.... "what if?"
I'm extremely sensitive to medication. My list of stuff that I've had a bad reaction to is long in some instances weird. I have regular fights with new physicians about what I can or can't tolerate. I get what you are saying but you should keep trying to find things that do work. I have a compound pharmacy close by and have had to use them on several occasions.
Fibromyalgia is Neuro muscular issue that causes widespread, chronic pain. Coupled with MS it is a b*tch. The longer a chronic pain cycle continues, the harder it becomes to manage or stop. Chronic pain also affects cognitive ability. Those are two good reasons to keep trying to find things that work whether it is medication, acupuncture, massage etc.
Take care.
