Yaaay for your child graduating university! I have a daughter in 3rd year and I'm so proud of her! We had a lot of struggles with our oldest daughter that went on for years s I know how draining it can be when one of your children is having a hard time. I think I may be quoting Dr. Phil here, but I once heard that a mother is only has happy as her most unhappy child and I can say that this is absolutely the truth! Thankfully mine has returned to school this year and seems to be on the right track now.
Happy for you that you were able to go on a holiday. Sounds like you had a good time.
Nice to meet you :)
I once went on a sailing trip after a car accident and it was amazing that on the 4th day I hiked 3 miles, crazy. (I love hiking)
Thanks for sharing the update!
Welcome back:-) And yeah, housework? More draining than we sometimes know!
I totally have to agree with LeoWOW, Europe! I flew to California last year by myself for work. Although it was my first time flying since I was a kid, I had to make a connecting flight both ways, and I was completely terrified of all the what ifs, I managed to make it through with minimal damage. After doing that I would like to *try* to start saving to take my daughter out to sunny Cali for a vacation.
Congrats to you kids for their accomplishmentsbut big congrats to YOU for raising your wonderful childrenand getting them through the minefield that is the education system! My 14 year old daughter just started high school and we are already having issues related to study time, turning in homework and bedtimejust to name a few.
Uuummmm.what is the housework that you speak of???
Like a few others have said, a European trip is also my goal. We plan to do it by cruise, which we have found is easier on me, but we WILL do it.
So glad things are going well for you and that you enjoyed your trip!
I did notice that travel is much more tiring now than it was, say ten years ago. The number of times you have to show your paperwork to staff, and the restrictions on carry on etc. It is very difficult to stay hydrated if you can't even bring your bottle of water through security. I also had trouble lifting my own bag on and off the luggage belt. But, I had spied a strapping young man in the crowd, and asked him to give me a hand.
Thanks again for the welcome back!
It's good to see you back and your update was anything but boring!
I'm not on here much, but do check in once in a while. I'm too 'scared' to fly alone. You did it to Europe? Awesome
