Hi! I just stumbled on DS last night, actually looking for online support for widows/widowers. I recently became a widow a little over 2 months ago. My husband,(also best friend, soul mate, lover and father of our 2 boys) died of pancreatic cancer. We were married a few days short of 33 yrs. His funeral was on our wedding anniversary. I also have fibromyalgia.
This site looks incredible, one that gives alot of support, where folks understand. I don't say much if I happen to be hurting, since those who don't suffer from fibro don't understand.
The high humidity really affects me and aggravates my fibro. Otherwise, usually the only time I have discomfort is at the end of the day.
Lately, though, some days have been rough. The humidity has been up and I'm dealing with the loss of my husband. I'm glad that I came across this site. Take care everyone...Nancy

I am so sorry to hear of your husband's passing....I can't imagine that grief, and am sure it is aggravating your fibro symptoms....
Please know you will find wonderful support here, and lots of great info as well...we are so happy you found us!

I too am so sorry for your loss. We lost my Dad 14yrs ago last month. I can't say that time heals the wound of them being gone but it does have it's way of carrying you through the hard times. It's the memories that help you survive.
I too can't imagine loosing my hubster. I never knew what my mom lost until I fell in love with my hubby. What an amazing gift to have 33yrs with him. May God help you and your sons through all of this.
I agree with the others, I'm sure your grieving will impact your fibro as much as the humidity. (humidity takes me down too). So stay in, stay cool and may your thoughts and dreams be of nothing than sweet memories.

My oldest son is staying with me for awhile, so I cooked tonight for the 2 of us. He had bought some fireworks, so we had our own show. Our city fireworks show was cancelled until tomorrow night. The day wasn't as hard to go through as I had anticipated.
It is so good to have a place where there other folks that understand what it's like to hurt alot of the time.
