Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
These questions he asked you, doesn't have to be about head trauma. Fibro has "forgetting" symptoms, we all joke about it and even normal, average people blank out with names and stuff. I bump into stuff ALL the time, I remember someone posting a thread about that (yesterday, was it?). I don't have a very good awareness of my body, and that can be explained by spending a lot of time dissociating and not being very athletic. It doesn't have to be about "motor skills", there's actually a name for the lack of body awareness and dimensions but I forgot it. With insomnia, forget it. You take a drug and that makes you loopy--you bump into things, drop silverware because you think that your grip is tight enough, etc. You don't take a drug then you're still loopy from the lack of sleep!
My point is that these questions and tests can certainly point out head trauma or "craziness" but it doesn't look at the whole picture. Sure, in some people, forgetting things could be about something psychological, but it's also a symptom of fibro and insomnia. I wouldn't worry about it because these tests fail to differentiate what the symptom is from.
