I have a supportive husband too and I am thankful for that.
I was hit hard with aggressive RA back in '92
We had only been married over a year and the disease changed so much of our plans and the dynamics of our family life.
My husband had to carry me upstairs at times during those harder months. There was months of testing and back and forth to specialists. tons of different drugs.
It's a heck of a Long story which is so much in the past now but here we are 22 yrs later still together. my husband has seen me go through tremendous amounts of pain and has always been there for me. And as the years have gone on, new things have gotten added to the list of problems, of course, Fibromyalgia being one of them.
He has seen me be a fighter too and knows that I will do whatever I can. we have still managed to have fun and good times too. we just had to adjust and adapt and he has been willing to do that along side of me.
It upsets me when I do read of relationships not being so supportive. It has to be awful if any of you are married to a spouse who is not so understanding and I wish it was different for you.
