I was just wondering if any of you are taking Opana and if it has helped you. My pain doc started me out on 20 mg 2 times a day and is lowering my dose of morphine at the same time, with the intention of going strictly to Opana, since the morphine leaves me with pain every day. I've been on it for over 3 years now.
I have heard some good things about Opana, but thought I'd see what you think . . .

However i was only on it for 1 month before i switched doctors.
Not sure if it was because I was taking 120 mg a day of Ms Contin switched to 40 mg a day of the Opana ER. My rheumo also put me on the fast release opana, i didnt notice a difference.
There is a member here that had great success with Opana Er and also the fast release, so much so that i think she has forgotten about us. lol
its worth a shot. If your doc is willing to give u pain meds, try them out. more and more patients with fibro and chronic pain are being turned away with nothing.
