Take a selfie of your face. I'm getting quite a collection of assorted rash photos. Sometimes, a rash on your cheeks can be a symptom of lupus. If you happen to have a dermatologist or rheumatologist you can get in to see quickly, he/she could evaluate it. Other doctors are not all that great at looking at rashes. There are other causes of redness on the cheeks, so it has to be looked at. If you can't see a doctor with the rash, bring your photo next time.

I will be going to my doctor tomorrow.. Not sure if it will still be here but I will take a picture! It's weird I can feel it without touching it, almost like I have something on my face.. I am seeing just a family doctor, I was diagnosed less then a month ago with fibro. Should I be seeing a different doctor.

Do you have a rheumatologist? Also, have you started using any new meds in the last month? How about soaps and cosmetics? Things to rule out before seeing your doctor tomorrow.

Not using anything new.. I have been on a anti depressant for 4 weeks now but haven't noticed anything like this. No I do not have a rheumatologist

You haven't seen a rheumatologist? My opinion is anyone diagnosed with fibromyalgia should be evaluated by a rheumatologist. There is a movement to dump fibro patients on PCPs, but a lot of people with fibro symptoms could have something rheumatological going on--and if you have a rash on your face, you have another reason for going to a rheumy.

I have been getting rashes in different spots for years!! They are usually itchy and spread quite rapidly. Whe I show them to my GP he tells me they are an immune system response??? I am so frustrated I am now taking pics of each rash and want to see a Dermotologist!!!

Also have the doc check your vid d levels.mif they get too low it can cause a rash. I'm on 10000 mg a day because mine is so low, and my dermatologist said it's partially because my d is so low. Since I had to up it and started taking omega 3 fatty acids with it my skin has mostly cleared up. Of course I'm also being monitored for lupus too since my white cell count is so low.

I would see a rheumatologist soon.

The rash could be anything, allergic reaction, make up, it could be the anti depressant. Our body changes all the time. What we once was able to tolerate we no longer can and get adverse reaction.

Lupus does cause the "butterfly" rash across the nose and cheeks.
Sun can aggravate it but it can show up anytime. Don't get alarmed thinking this is your problem though but it is something to rule out.

I get itchy red rash across my nose and cheeks sometimes. The warm shower can bring it out. Or being in the sun, even a few minutes.
I brought it up to my Rheumy he think it's makeup reaction or sun. Not lupus. I have been checked for that and I do have RA.

It's not a itchy rash, it just feels warm I've noticed.. Still here today. I notice when I'm not feeling well like weak and sore it comes out.. Very strange. I am going today to see me doctor maybe he will refer me to a rheumatologist
