I'm here to spread the word that this year at the 5th Annual Conference for Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis (NSF) they presented a woman that had a biopsy confirmed case of NSF. There is talk now of changing the name to Gadolinium Associated Systemic Fibrosis because the kidneys do not cause it; gadolinium - a toxic heavy metal - causes it.
NSF is an often times fatal disease that can affect anyone that has had an MRI with a gadolinium based contrasting agent (GBCA). The classic signs are muscle pain and weakness and systemic fibrosis including the internal organs. The gadolinium passes the BBB so it affects the brain. Anyone hear of brain fog in this support group? Well this would explain it.
Please I encourage anyone that has had an MRI with GBCA to do some research on this disease. One of the differencial diagnoses is Fibromyalgia but it is not Fibromyalgia it is gadolinium poisoning. If you feel you have been sickened by a GBCA go to the GFF and research the disease. There is a lawsuit you may be able to join. I am not an attorney, I am a victim. This is a dreadful disease and these products need to be taken off the market.

Also you may have a claim against the manufacturers of these GBCAs.
Sometimes GBCAs were used for CT scans as well. The classic signs of this disease are muscle weakness and pain and stiffness. My legs feel like sticks. I also have a burning sensation on my legs, arms, hands and feet. The skin involvement is just beginning for me. The new symptoms didn't appear until nine years after my first two MRIs but I was sick for a long time before that.
