I am new here and hope I am posting in the correct place. I have had fibro for many years..was finally diagnosed in 1993 and was approved for SSDI in 1996. A the time of my diagnosis there was very little information available on this subject. AS I learned my way around the internet, I met other FIBRO friends and we started to put together information, links and other resources about fibro. We have sent this information out by emil for the over ten years and now we have developed a website, written and researched by eleven people including three published authors and researchers, a website designer, an expert in the field of disability, several graphic designers and artists, the founder and owner of one of the most popular Fibromyalgia message boards and chats on the net, a physician who has reviewed our medical information and several fibro sufferers just like you, who once were seeking information and are now helping to share it.
This project is available to you FREE OF CHARGE, as always, and contains a wealth of information with over 150 links about FIBROMYALGIA including the latest information about DISABILITY benefits, medications, support groups , message boards and much much more..we have made the online version of The Original Fibromyalgia Welcome Package bigger and better than it has ever been before.

I have got to say that one or 2, wont say what sites, but a few sites you have listed I, at one time frequented and ive got to say there were some ugly, mean and nasty members that were just rude and cruel.
Is this just an advertisment for your site?
Again, Doug, and friends, if im out of line please forgive me but i think u all know by now im brutally honest.
Or am i out of line in posting this, I am having a bad day, in a flare up and in pain, so maybe im just crabby but felt i needed to post this.

No, my post was not "just an advertisement" for my site.... If you do an internet search for FIBRO WELCOME PACKAGE you will come up with us on just about every search engine I can think of.. we are quite well known in the fibro world, and have been for many, many years...we are FREE of charge so no real need to advertise since we arent selling anything...just offering information and support for those that want or need it.. This site is NOT on it because I just came across it tonight( or I should say last night) My webmaster does monthly updates, so when I send her the next batch I would hope to add a link to this site as well.
I do not know which sites you had problems with, but I do know that there are all kinds of people out there on the internet and yes, unfortunately some of them may not be so nice, but I have never had any problems ,myself, with any of the sites we have listed..

After reading on your site I can see now that I think I may have had the childhood fibro but just thought it was growing pains. I also have never made enough Seratonin and have been on Anti depressants since my teens.

Anything to make life a bit easier for me is great...A lot of info and such on one site...I just check it out briefly, but it will give me something to do in the middle of the night when I can't sleep.

Thank you for visiting the site and for your feedback. I like the advice from friends section also.It is real people who have fibro at various stages of their lives..not just doctors talking about something they studied about..
We do monthly updates and if anyone has suggestions we are always open to new ideas.
We have done this for over 10 years in email..we went online with it in March of this year, so we too are learning as we go along.
