Just a few questions that I need opinions on
I get spells where I get IBS symptoms, nausea and hot/cold. I can't eat for a couple of days after.
Are medicines effective in dealing with the nausea?
My pain can move around from the top of my arm to my hand, feet and legs or neck. It aches but is not usually severe.
I need your opinion before tomorrow:
What would you do?
1. I can go back to my dr who doesn't believe in fibromyalgia and has pretty much left me hanging with these symptoms (he says fibro is really physical depression)
2. Get in to see my brother's fam dr who although I met only once seems very nice and knowlegeable, and I can ask the staff if he treats fibro
3. There is a neurologist here who treats psych disoders, etc. I can ask about the diagnosing and treating fibro
4. Call around till I find a rheumatologist who treats fibro
5. Call around till I find a fam dr who treats fibro
I can't go another day like this
I'm even going for acupuncture but the chinese dr wants me to buy 300 dollars worth of an herb you drink and it's all labeled in chinese.
Help!!!!

I bounce around..I treat my pain, thru exercise, because not ALL the Pain from Fibromyalgia is from fibromyalgia {the illness}...some of it was caused because I allowed myself to slip down that slippery slope...became quite sedentary...my Pain has back WAY off since slowly Forcing myself to MOVE once again...
When I become Sick/Weak Feeling...Fatigued...I do what my Body is Telling me to do...I REST. I do NOT Push. I can Push thru Pain...cannot & will not push thru the rest of it..
IBS can be helped alot thru Diet...Forcing STRESS out of ur Life as much as Possible...back off on fatty foods...I added Yoplait + digestive to my Morning routine about a year or so ago...this has helped alot.
I am Med free...not always cause I wanna be...but because the Meds they have offered me so far seemed to do more harm then good...so until they have that "AhHA Moment" "So This is what has been going on with all these peoples"...I will continue to Live on as tho there were nothing Wrong...simply give my body what it tells me it needs..I see a Dr. for anything NEW..or any symptom that seems to be worsening...and I Tolerate "0" Disrespect...from ANYONE.
You have to decide for Self..continue to see a Dr. who is not up to speed...or become your Own Advocate & Push Push Push...
I am All natural...but I am NOT going to go spending a bunch of Money on herbs and crap...I take a few supplements...my Whole treatment costs me about 150.00 a month...and has helped me considerably.

And as far as your acupuncturist goes, that is a bunch of BS! I use an acupuncturist who is really good. He uses herbs which are fairly expensive but not $300....maybe $50 a bottle at the most. If possible, I'd try to find you another one if you want to continue the acupuncture.
