I am allergic to almost everything, so I get where your coming from, a little bit of panic, especially not knowing. Darvocet used to help me, for some weird reason, and the U.S. took it off the market. The only country where it isn't available and I live in it. Haven't really had much help since.

Yeah, I think this new law started in my glorious state and now other states are following suit. Makes me so mad. I think if you are already set up with pain management then you should be ok, it is the new people with chronic pain that will have issues. No Doctors around here are taking new pain patients....lot of suffering going on. Last time I checked I had a mother. If they would just go by each person as a individual and study the history, they should have no problem detecting the addicts from real pain patients, I guess they are too lazy and just want to lump us all together. So sad.

I agree completely. If doctors would just pay attention, it ain't rocket science to sort out the responsible medical users. They might get some overlap (even a responsible user can have meds stolen) but for the most part, it's really not all that hard.

Cookie cutter medicine has led us to this, along with a number of other non-so-good things. Some doctors tell their patients things like "Well you must not have fibromyalgia because Lyrica didn't help" - like we're all exactly alike.

Totally agree with you all... I have 2 kids and a mortgage, I would drink all the time if I wanted to mess my life up.. Just trying to live it here.

This is making my anxiety so bad. I am now without insurance and about to start paying out of pocket for a new doc. I simply cannot afford these pain centers and hoping I can find a doc that will give me an RX for 3 months like my previous Kaiser Perm doc, I miss.... :(

Yes, we've been hearing the rumblings of this. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I plan to fight this like crazy with my doctor. I think if they do this to enough chronic pain patients, the fallout from it is going to be pretty bad, and we're just going to have to let them know!
