Like you I try to keep in mind that it could be a worse situation for me. I take things pretty hard anymore. The other thing I do is, as someone here said: distractions while you hurt. Deal with one thing at a time. Step into the bathroom and scream it out. Then deal with the next thing on the list. (I look and sound silly but what's a person to do.)
Sleep...what's that? So I just read a good book. The next day, I go in the bathroom and scream again. (Have to watch the time on that as I have to go back to work.)
Yep, pretty crazy on my side of the planet. (Excuse me, bad week.)
Stress causes adrenal fatigue and makes me twice as ill as I would normally be.
I've taken a lot of steps since getting ill to remove stress from my life and once I got away from toxic people I began to function better. But we can't remove stress entirely, you're right, something always pops up and being chronically ill and in pain every day is very stressful in itself.
How can all this NOT bring on stress?
