yep, six months, not overnight, and i notice they did two sessions in water.... ahhhh... water therapy:-)
BTW, hope I didn't offend you with my comment about hilarious juice. I realize, not pleasant, but on re-telling....
The warm water is best for me. I was blessed enough to find a heated pool close by me. I tried the cooler pool, but I had better results with warm water. I actually worked with a physical therapist in water over the summer and she helped me with a routine. Sometimes I use her routine, other times I walk, jog, and stretch. I try to go at least 2-3x a week.
I started VERY slowly. I began walking in water for 5 minutes at a time and then increased my time slowly over several months. I highly recommend it!
I will say that while I am glad to be on land-based exercises, I find that some things are easier in a hot shower (stretches, for example) so that might be a home application of the principles here. My mom, who has FM also (dx'd 2012, me 1995, there's weird), is short enough to stretch out in a tub of hot water at home and often does her leg lifts and bends that way.
GOod thread, Em!
I long ago accepted that exercise is a very necessary component of my "new normal" but other than the brief endorphin high immediately after, my pain is unchanged.
