i get these shock things in my legs too. mine are kinda like a cross between pins and needles and the feeling when you hit your funny bone in your elbow. weird and scary.
i have been in denial about my fibro for some time now, and i attributed these shocks to just being inactive. i have tested this theory, and while moving around or even exercising does not make them worse, it does not seem to cure the problem either. i can have them after having done water aerobics, and been on my feet most of the day. and i can have an inactive pain day and not have them appear.
i hope you feel better, and i hope we find something to help our highly charged legs.
all the best
My way of describing it is it feels like the spot in the knee as the doctor taps it for a reflex reading, maybe not quite that intense of a feeling, or darn close.... only it happens at the several trigger points on my body. ?-could be the 'electric' feeling you are mentioning - or not.
I have no earthly idea how to stop it. Sometimes if I press on the trigger points for a minute or so until the spot feels numb it'll help for a while, but you have to be careful with those trigger points so,,,
I've had FM for a few years now, but this is something completely new.
I don't THINK it's RLS, only because it doesn't effect my sleep, but of course, I'm not really sure.
It was just a really horrible/weird feeling, but if it continues, it will be on the list for my next doctors' visit.
If it's not Restless Legs, your leg problems might actually be from muscle spasms in your back.
Feel better!
