my sil, takes lyrica, for the fibro, she had an episode a couple of days ago that landed her in the emergency room, her left side went numb and she couldn't speak, her speech was like a person who had a stroke, but cat scan showed no stroke, it resolved quickly, but it was scary i was wondering if anyone who is taking lyrica has had any symptoms like this, i don't know what the mg of her lyrica was but she was taking 5 a day, which i think is too much, i was just seeing if anyone else had experienced this, i can not take lyrica, because the lowest dose made me swell like a toad frog, give me some answers. thanks.
I take Lyrica, low dose of 150 mg per day. It helps with the pain and I have no side effects. I have heard other complain of side effects and many can't take it at all.
Did the Dr's state that this was a result of the Lyrica, or is that just a possibilty as this time?
I don't know why she would be taking 5 pills per day. The recomended dosage for Fibro is 300 to 450 MG per
day. Since it comes in various pill strength, even if she were on a higher dose she would not need that many pills. Recomended dosage is once to three times per day. But as with any drug, it is up to the prescribing Dr.
I hope she is better and finds the answer to this so that they can resolve it.
I took it for months at 150 mg, and my stepdad takes it presently for his Neuropathy (i.e.. what it's actually for) anyway, we were talking yesterday how fumble-fingered we had become, and I've been off the stuff for a year! Anyway, we think it's the Lyrica.
