hi celiac community -
i\'m doug, one of the founders of dailystrength, and i\'m so happy that y\'all have found a place to share stories, thoughts and concerns...it\'s why we built this site.
i just wanted to give you all a quick update on what\'s going on with the site, so you can better understand what\'s going on:
we\'ve been live for about 1 week now, and i\'m proud to tell you that you\'re really only seeing the tip of the DailyStrength iceberg...we are working full-time on a list of more than 30 new features, which we\'ll roll out shortly.
we\'re well aware of some of the bugs with our site (when you log in it should take you back to where you were, why are some treatments listed twice, etc), and we\'re quickly attacking them. rest assured that the site is solid and will continue to be around for a long, long time.
coming soon are a number of new features, including:
a) a completely revamped Resources area, allowing folks to quickly list multiple resources (like great doctors who understand FM), as well as rate and tag resources posted by others.
b) treatments is going to be completely blown out so that you can see what everyone else in the community thinks of a given technique, drug or therapy.
c) update alerts via email. enough so that you know what\'s going on, not so much that you get spammed.
d) much, much more (about 30 things are on the list...really).
we\'re glad you\'ve found us, and we hope you\'ll stay around for a long time. i can always be reached at doug@dailystrength.org.
hope you\'re having a nice weekend.

Hi Doug....so glad to hear of all you and the daily strenght team are doing to improve an already great site! I appreciate all the time & effort that goes into an endeavor like that.May I ask one thing? You mentioned that there are 30 new things you\'ll be doing to the site......will one of those things be adding a chatroom that we can access when we come in if there are folks from our \"community\" already on-line & here at the site??? I really think if that were possible that alot of folks would benefit from that, and enjoy talking in \"real time\" instead of passing messages. Don\'t get me wrong, it\'s great that we can do that, just really hoping we\'ll see a chatroom soon is all. Please reply to this ?? when you have the time..I know you\'re really busy & have a wife and 2 precious kids(praying they are well!) but I would really like to know if that will be a possibility, even if it won\'t be right away. Thanks for listening, take good care and I look forward to hearing from you. (((\\O/))) Theresa

Thank you all for this site and the FM support. This is the first FM support type group I have joined-I have mostly been reading books and figuring it out on my own for almost ll years now. I was dx\'d with what the dr. called a \"classic text-book case\" at a time when it was not as well-recognized, and the only treatment at the time were antidepressants to help me sleep. I hated the added \"fog\" on top of \"fog\", so I haven\'t had much success with them. It has mostly been a solitary journey for me in the search for relief/treatment and I welcome the opportunity to learn what others are doing to regain their health and to share what has been helping me.

I forgot to mention, you have to be committed to doing the program in 28 consecutive days- no procrastinating. oh, and this is a book, not a video.

Doug, I love this site and all the people on it. Don't go adding all those changes at once, it is hard enough taking in one or two new things at a time. Keep up the great work.

I like the fact that fathers are included. If you look you can find them but it just seems like you are hard pressed to find books that include fathers and their perspective. Which is sad because I think too often it gets forgotten that they have lost a baby too!
