Sorry, I have been negligent and keeping in contact with everyone. Recently I have been working with my doctor to get me off of Neurontin and Naproxen , I have had a lot of swelling, water retention, weight gain excessive pain, memory loss, and etc., so I asked him to put me on Flexeril which did absolutely nothing for me.
After more investigation I found that I was willing to try Cymbalta , to me the greatest drug in the world, not only do I have fibromyalgia, I also have chronic pain, arthritis, diabetic neuropathy, Well you know my history. I have lost 20 pounds in 4 weeks , I have regained the use of my feet and legs that hurt me so much that I could not walk or stand to be touched. In addition I have got my sex drive back, I can move, I can walk, I have an abundance of energy, and I feel wonderful. I have not felt this way in five to six years.
Granted the first two weeks of getting use to the med was interesting, but I persevered . Sorry to take up so much of your time I just wanted to put it out there that you can get relief without the opiate. I was on oxycodone until November of last year when my Physicians stop prescribing. I take no pain killers at all now, I only take Cymbalta. I realize some people it does not work for some people cannot handle the side effects but so far it has worked wonderfully for me.
