Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.

It's bull***t.
The test allegedly shows if your "gene expression pattern is consistent with fibromyalgia".
WTF? We don't even *know* what if any gene expression patterns are related to chronic pain disorders aside from those with, duh, known genetic and heritable components. And RNA? That's nto even DNA! It's RNA! OMG, RNA is most useful if you're studying viruses (which, btw, fibro is not yet proven to be caused by, nor correlated with viral loads, etc., and that's under study, which is why I say "not yet proven").
the company also sells tests to prove you have IBS, Crohn's, UC, MS, you name it. I call BS. End of story. Nice dream, but I gotta call the BS on this one.
ALSO.... this company IQUITY? They do research and use tehir datasets for comparison of your blood work. So are we reawllllllly getting *your* genetic info, or are they just looking at a few common markers and having their algorithms do the "work" of deciding what disease you have?
And who are IQUITY that they have "robust data sets of healthy and sick people"? (Quoting their own press release(s), btw.) How is it obtained, what's their idea of "robust", and given the lack of studie son fibro that follow large numbers of people over time ---- how can they possibly have any good data sets? What markers are they using for "sick" or "healthy"? Are they allowing for age, gender, comorbidity, etc.? Nope. "RNA (genomic", to quote IQUITY.
Pardon the rant, but geez, we can already definitively identify most of the diseases they claim to catch in the "early stages". (How conveinent if they're wrong, eh? Ooops, it was just too early for us to know!)
Ugh. I need chocolate.
