I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia (and Sjogrens syndrome) There are days that I can't stand very well or very long and my legs hurt so bad. They are actually sore to the touch most of the time. Some days I have to stay in bed and then I'll have a few good days. I also have pain in my hips, shoulders and the usual fibro touch points. My cousin thinks I have something else though because my legs are larger than the rest of me in proportion. I wanted to see if anyone else had these symptoms or if I need to go looking again for another diagnosis! Thanks so much!

My legs have been my most painful part of me for quite a while now. Yes, they're sore to the touch, and walking is awful!

The back of my arms is actually my worst pain area....hurts too bad to touch...skin feels sunburned...but my legs are a very close second. And a few times lately when I have gotten out of bed in the middle of the night to use the bathroom I stumble...it's like my legs can't hold me....although they do recover quick enough that I haven't fallen. I'm a power walker/jogger...and often times flares of mine start from muscle fatigue in my legs after a workout. (though lately my workouts haven't lasted longer than 15 minutes!)

A friend of mine has numerous Fibro type symptoms as well as the parts of body that are largeer than others proportionately. They are thinking she has something called Derkins Disease. (not sure of the spelling). Another symptom that is common with this disorder is nodules under the skin...similiar to lupus nodules I think.

Thank you for your replies! I guess I will go get it checked out...I hate that others have painful legs too but good to know it isn't uncommon with fibro. I will check out "Derkins Disease" too. Thanks again!

My legs are sore to the touch and one of my legs sometimes be bigger than the other and sometimes they are small like chicken legs. I be sore all over and it is soooooo painful. I be in a really bad mood and really do not want anyone telling me what they need or anything at that time I really do not care. I be bruised up, feeling bad, and really really really tired so I know what u r talking about. I have lupus and fibro. with fibro. u have ok days and really really bad days. I know that the weather has something to do with it. When u r sore u r sore. The only advice I can give you is to try to be in a good place mentally because when u r hurting u can really act out. So just continue to stay positive...but sometimes that is really hard when u r not feeling good....

yes, mine used to be really bad to the point that i couldnt lift my legs all the way. i would just slide them along the floor. since i limited chemicals and toxins around the house it has been much better. However, when i am having a flare, my pressure points are still very tender, to the point that my husband cannot rest his hand on my hip or thigh while we watch tv without it hurting enough for me to ask him to move it.

Thank you for commenting! I guess we are all pretty much in the same boat but I have just got to get better! I live alone since the death of my husband in 2009 and I can barely stay on top of the housework. Some days I have to let it go. I have grandkids who come over a couple of times a week and I want to be a good "Mamoo". :) Could you tell me how you detoxed the house, Des10ed2be???

jeannie----------- mainly i just switched to all eco friendly cleaners. and i mean EVERYTHING. not just the multi-purpose sprays. we switched dish detergent, laundry detergent, cleaners, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, everything we possibly could. we have the carpets cleaned at least once, if not twice a year by an eco friendly carpet guy, cut back on the amount of carpets in the house, as many organic or non-processed foods as possible. I know it sounds kinda crazy, but it has cut down my pain to about a quarter of what it used to be. a lot of people with fibro also have a chemical sensitivity. apparently, i am one of those people. cutting things down has helped me a TON.
