Anxiety/Depression Crushing Me

I have to leave for work in about two hours... but, I feel like I am falling apart. My stress level is absolutely crushing me. I can't afford to lose/walk away from this job because I am on my own and also if I got a new job, I wouldn't be able to wait the standard 90-day period before my health insurance would kick in. I am stuck. I am unraveling.

I hope that you find some relief from your anxiety. I've been pretty anxious off and on lately here too...must be something in the air. Your in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh my dear Courtney, I am sorry to hear that you are going through this! Please know that you have friends here on DS that care. It is certainly tough to worry about our future income and what the loss of it might mean for our lives. I am in a slightly similar situation where I might have to go on disability. My husband is retired and the blow to our income will have quite an impact. But I will tell you what my husband tells me all the time - we can only take it one day at a time. Please don't give up. Hang in there and know that we are with you.

Oh, I sure hope you are feeling better, Courtney. It's awful to feel that anxious. Please see a therapist or psychiatrist to get some help and direction. I see mine once a month to keep me on track. I know what severe anxiety and depression is like. Breathe, and take it one moment at a time. We are here.

Courtney, Are you the one who has the property management job? Prop management is very stressful even for someone without any health problems. If I remember correctly, you are staying in this job because you are working toward your real estate license, right? I am curious, why would you work so hard for even more of the stressful stuff?

Are you able to sign up for ObamaCare if you quit your job?

Wow! Thanks to everybody for the advice and support. I am always amazed at how wonderful all of you are.

Today was not as bad as I was dreading it to be. I had a ton of work errands to run, so I was only at my office for about half of the day... I hope tomorrow is similar or better, and as Kimber said, I can only take it one day at a time.

Achybones, yes I am the property management lady... Actually, my promotion to my current position requires me to obtain my real estate license. It was not by choice. I seriously consider a career change about once or twice a year, but then I realize over and over again that starting over would mean a significant pay cut. And there's always something that happens in my life that reminds me that I can't afford that... I didn't even think about Obamacare! I'm not too sure how it works, but I am absolutely going to look into it now!
