The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
Oxy, & ambien.
Diet has a greater impact on some than others. I found a significant decrease in pain when I cut out splenda & aspartame. Others with gluten & other food allergies.
Other than that.....heat, gentle stretching, hot baths, massage, physical therapy, aqua therapy, & I'm sure many more will suggest others. Exercise if you can but not to the extent you could 6 months or 3 years ago. Currently if I shower, do some dishes & laundry, take care of my mom, & walk to the mailbox in a day......I'm satisfied with that.
Oh by the way you didn't mention the being beaten up by a baseball bat......another similar feeling.
You are not alone & this is the best possible place considering your circumstances.
This is a great place for both support and information.
The degree of pain varies for us all. As K8 said, diet, massages, etc etc etc.... Some of us do well with one method, others with another.
Try, try again, and do NOT give up hope. Some of us do experience a kind of remission (with or without meds----I went 8 years, 6 of them withiout meds, but that was long long ago, alas).... some have great pain control and function, some of us can't seem to quite knock it down, and so on.
Oh, and don't forget how it feels like being rolled down a very rocky hill....Ow.
Good luck, and i hope your doc can find the right combo of treatments to get your FM back in the cage.

The best thing you can do for yourself is get a good doctor you trust and who listens to you. Currently I do not have this. I get no pain meds, which makes life super difficult.
Take care.
You are not alone in this and this is a very good place to get information!
