Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
In other words, could there be a link between your environment, and the onset of FM? Would I still have gotten ill, if my first marriage was happy, and my life was balanced????

Living over seas, before you go the military sometimes has the families get vaccinated and tested for different stuff.
Scootermom, I am a survivor of multiple rapes and in 2009 I was in an abusive relationship for the first part of the year. I have PTSD from all of that and I'm only 22. There is definitely a mind body connection for me as far as pain and my mental health is concerned.
I'm an army brat. My dad had been vaccinated for stuff before he married my mom.
Both my parents were vaccinated for sruff when they went overseas and my mom was pregnant with me the first time they went overseas. So I don't know how her vaccination might have affected me.
We moved every three years so I know I got alot of vaccinations.
I'm betting that is the cause of my health problems starting with my breast cancer. Which in a resent study they found the XMRV in 25% of the breast cancer they looked at.
If I do have this virus it would be impossible to tell how I got it.
IF (as I believe) this illness was caused by a military/gov't created pathogen, and
IF they included vaccine against the pathogen in their routine smallpox, etc military vaccines and
IF it is contagious as has been proposed by the references I have read recently,
perhaps my husband was vaccinated against it but carried it and passed it to me. He is healthy. I am not. grr (NOT that I'd want him to have this! I just wish the whole mess had not be instigated in the first place!)
My theory about fm is I think it is stress related, meaning when your body senses stress, you may not be "feeling" it mentally, but your body reacts by becoming overly sensitive and your nerves go wacky, causing pain and the other CRAP.
I wonder how many of us had traumatic childhoods/teen years, stressful childhood homes-abusive, alcoholic parents, abondonment, etc.
I grew up in a very stressful house, my father was dx with cancer when he was 27, I was 3, I had insomnia by 4, and an ulcer by 7. I was put on my first sleeping pill by 8 and my first diet the same year. My parents divorced when I was 9 and my father died when I was 10.Literally just writing this made my shoulders cramp up and start hurting, now I have a headache.
Just food for thought.
