Yes! I moved to Hawaii 9 years ago... in the summer it reaches up to 90 deg F (on the hottest day) and in the winter it's in the 70's. There are several islands to choose from. The Big Island even gets snow in the mountains every few years, if you ever miss it and feel like flying over. LOL.
I love it here! You can swim in the ocean all year round.

oh i know exactly what you're talking about. it took me years to figure out that temperature had something to do with how bad i felt. i just suffer when the weather changes, i don't really know what else to do :(

Life-long New Englander here. I knew for sure that the weather played a big role in my symptoms a few years ago when we had a tornado, I thought I was going to die. I read a bit about this and it has something to do with the pressure in the atmosphere changing. I feel worse when it's about to rain or snow and much, much better on sunny warm days. I'm definitely thinking about moving when I'm done with school. Hmm... Hawaii... Sorry I don't know much about Canada and weather but I'm glad your husband is getting some relief.

For others who may be thinking of moving in the U.S. for consistency in the weather, Do Not move to Louisiana.

Hawaii would be great! I just looked and there are two jobs posted in my profession right now.... I'm scared to give up the Canadian health care though, especially because of the fibro.

Before anyone does anything about moving be sure to check the cost of living stats. I'm casually looking around as retirement looms on the horizon. So far, I'm not seeing much that appeals to me for less money. Take care.

My dream home was listed in North Carolina $169,000 for a 4800 sq ft home, with a pool! I think it was 45 mins from the beach too. No idea what the weather is like but heard it's nice.

Carriein, this is for you.

I live in North Carolina but I'm closer to our mountains that the coast but I can tell you that most of the time if you are near our coast the weather is pretty good. However if you are closer to the Virginia state line you may have to deal with a "nor'eater" from time to time.

If you are further south toward South Carolina then your biggest weather worries are most likely to happen during hurricane season.

All in all, NC is a great state to live in.

Moved from Massachusetts to South Carolina. although I do NOT miss shoveling snow, I have to honestly say that the humidity and swings in temp make me ache as much as the cold did. Wish I did know where the temp stayed the same.

The places I would recommend are the following:
San Diego
Florida
Hawaii
and those are the main 3 I would move to if I could. I left San Diego about 7 years ago and wish I had never left! Can't afford to go back now... Sigh

I have lived in Michigan my entire life and the weather here is neurotic. I am not familiar with the weather in the different parts of Canada. I would like to move to California some day - but the cost of living is too high and I couldn't deal with the high population.

Sugarbear - interesting what you had to say about North Carolina - maybe I should look into it. If my son stays in Michigan after he graduates from college in 4 years I would probably stay here too.

I live in Washington state.
It is one of the most temperate places to live... ( Seattle - western Wa)-----But Eastern Washington has hot summers and is cold snowy in the winter.)
Seattle-- Western Wa. is NEVER too hot OR too cold. Our HOTTEST weather might reach 98 degrees ( for a whole week at the most ) Barely any snow -- but worse weather would be snow for a week or two ( all at once - lol) and clears right up and then the next day-- its 50 degrees. ( Bummer when you're a kid- hardly any snow days to miss school- lol) ItsVery very mild.

I know people think it rains here all the time... its not that bad... I am willing to put up with rain rather than freezing cold snow and ice ALL winter.
The trade off for rain ? FRESHEST air - smells like the woods! We live in a condo... I love looking out the window because we are high up and it looks like I live in a tree house! Summers are BEAUTIFUL with very low humidity...

Probably the desert would be good. We live in the high desert here in California and my son does pretty well except for Dec and January, usually. Sometimes if we get a rare rainstorm other than those times it will trigger. I feel good that we've gotten to a place where only the weather or extreme stress seem to trigger his FM. I've been thinking about some sort of vacation place in Palm Springs. It's 90 minutes from here but always much warmer.

The weather is great in San Diego, where I live. Still, there are a few cold days, and some rain. It's like the desert weather in that it's cold at night during winter, but warm enough during the day sixty to 70 degrees. Summer it's up to 80 + but always cool at night.

Of course, electricity is high here, housing is impossible, and we're in a four yearr + draught. We're supposed to save water and have zero gardens.

I love the weather here, but still suffer from changes. and rain, which we need so badly, is painful.

I only know that my son and others are much better living in BC where the air is fresher and his allergies and colds are much less than in Southern Ontario, near Trenton where we get the cold and humidity. Isabelle1954
