Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
I am sorry you are in such pain and frustration. I do not post much, but there are many people here with lots of experience to share.
There are 3 main medications that doctors seem to be treating Fibro with. I have been on Savella since 2009. The first month was difficult to get through the initial side effects but then it leveled off and I was able to function and work. My income level was so low that I was able to get the medication free from the company.
You will need to learn to pace yourself. My doctor told me to do Hatha yoga. Basically slow stretching, not aerobic. I do TaiChi and home walking tapes. It is important to keep your muscles moving, this will help relieve some pain. Hot showers, and hot soaks also help. For some people swimming or water exercise has been good.
Research good nutrition for Fibro, exercise, and the right meds. Then hopefully you will find more good days than bad days.
Wishing you well.
