I think alot is due to muscle tightness and muscle knots in my neck, shoulders, and back. I also have suffered for years from migraines, and now take Topamax daily to help prevent them.
Headaches are one of the common complaints with fibro, unfortunately.
Interestingly, I too have low iron levels and lower Vit D levels....
HUGS from down south :)
I was anemic on and off before my hysterectomy. I did not find it gave me headaches but definitely depleted my energy and I bruised easily. You should ask your doctor what supplement to take for both the low iron and vitamin D. The anemia can cause your muscles to ache more too; hence why you may be feeling it more in your hips right now.
My iron isn't low , but I have chronic low vitamin D.
Hope you find some relieve soon.
A rheumatologist suggested an aspirin a day for migraines. I didn't take it because I was taking other NSAIDs. Now I am doing it and it's a Godsend for headaches and other pain. It causes the blood to flow more easily.
