I am a newbie here, just diagnosed with fibro. I am taking Lyrica, have been for about a week. When will I notice a difference in the way I feel? Also, has anyone had major weight gain with Lyrica? I am afraid of that, I am overweight as it is. Anyhow, I'd like to hear what anyone has to say about Lyrica.

I was on Lyrica. Worst drug I have ever taken. Felt like I was being tasered the entire time I was on it.

Now it can help some, but I was sure not one.

New here as well. Was started on Lyrica in April and am now being weaned off due to side affects. I felt like I was drunk all the time and was falling over things. Face felt numb and lips.

tried it once for a week years ago and I was too drunk feeling I refused to take it anymore...Since I have moved and state medicaid here is different. I was willing to try it again but here they wont pay for it and I cannot afford it by any means, im not even working :( i guess its for the best bc it didnt work last time but i cant even get Ultram for pain with out going through tons or red tape and even monthly drug testing *sigh* my anxiety wont allow me to do that..just nope. im not a druggie I dt need to be drug tested it scares me ..I already have DR anxiety.

I felt drunk and threw up on it so i stopped it after a few days. My pain was reduced but it wasnt worth it.

Hello!

I'm new here as well, but I was diagnosed about six months ago. I took Lyrica for a while, and I had the bad side effects of depression and suicidal thoughts. However, it is very rare to have those effects, especially if you keep in good contact with your doctor. Still, I noticed significant improvement in pain after about a month. Make sure you taper off this medication before you stop it altogether, though. Otherwise, you'll go through withdrawal.

Nevertheless, I do think the medication can be beneficial to most users. Give it some more time, and I wish you the very best!

I am on my third week of starting Lyrica. I'm up to three pills at bedtime because during the day it puts me to sleep. Next week I'll start my full dose and I'm wondering how knocked out I'll be on four pills!

I tried Lyrica for six weeks. It made me extra tired, and I gained 10 lbs. Did not help me at all. I think thos is a terrible medication, and do not understand why it is even FDA approved. So many people gained 40 or 60 pounds while taking Lyrica.What good is a medication that makes you obese?
