Questions would include: What does the bloodwork mean you *mihgt* have or is being ruled out? What tests are involved? Will your PCP be transferring care to the rheumy? Those are the first t ocome to mind for me.
I'm having a pretty rotten stretch so will close before I babble incoherently.

I was dx by a rheumy, but I receive my care from my PCP. I left the rheumy b/c we just didn't get along! It's hard to get along with a jerk, you know? You'll learn so much here....more probably than from your doctor. You'll also learn about what meds work for people and also other treatments/lifestyle changes that help.

i used to be a LPN so I can tell you abit about your blood info. if your doctor is sending you to a specialist about tyour Sed rate. I can tell you that your sed rate tells the amt of inflammation that shows up in your blood, and how fast the red cells drop in an hour. if you have arthritis you could have a high sed rate . usualy people with fibro and other auto immune disorders/diseases have high sed rates. I would not be too worried. they are propably going to do other testing to rule out what your current issues are.
So some doctors do a nerve stimulator test to see if your nerves are all working. Depending on the doctor and the test , there are three different kinds one is painful , it is the one where they use needles. When they diagnosed you with Fibro I imagine they did alot of testing. I would ask what tests were done and what were the results. there are quite a few people here with medical knowledge who can help you figure them out. but your doctor should explain them to you. did they tell you when you were diagnosed what part of the scale your on. Are you just starting to show inflammation or do you have other issues? do you have alot of pain? Can you do regular stuuf? How is your regular daily atctivity. Do you sleep well, or is your sleep disturbed. ? if you are having any problems write them down and ask nothing it too small to ask about. I know I have problems where I get the chills, and sometimes my hands swell or go to sleep i thought it was arthritis but it is also a symptom of fibro. Are you taking medication , sometimes they want you to be medication free for tests, which can be very painful. If you get other results, i would gladly help you with them. if I know the answers, I do not remeber all things but I still have all my medical books.. Take care good luck I will be thinking about you. Isabee
