Good morning! Or at least it is going to be a good morning for you. I've been on DS for about a month but kinda new to this community. My name is Jenna and I was originally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about fifteen years ago. Since then I've also been diagnosed with CFS and I spend a lot of my time posting over on that community. I'm 42 and have two sons that are 8 and 10. At the moment I'm working full time and going to school part time.
I'm looking forward to getting to know y'all.

My cat is going on trial for crimes against skink-anity. SIX in six weeks. Three this last week alone. The crack is maybe 1/4 inche wide. Maybe. Skink skitters past, her paw shoots out, her claw hooks in, she yanks, and somehow, having defied physics... WHAM. Skink-o-rama.Now, don't get me wrong, it's nice that she's a pesticidal maniac, but OMG. Skinks do no harm. They don't come inside. WTF.So,...

I'm alive, I'm sleeping like a rock, and for some reason I wanted cherry juice so that seems to be helping. (??? Weirdo that I am.)***Infamous therapies over history:1. The Attic. The madwoman in the attic is a motif in literature going waaaaaay back: the nutty female relative is locked in the attic. (See: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte for a grotesquely racist version of it, and Charlotte Perkins...

You sound very busy with two boys, work, and school. :-)
By the way - I'm 52...was dx with fibro in 2007. I had to quit work at that time due to the pain and fatigue. I have a hubby, two kids, and two darling granddaughters.
Welcome!
I'm blabbing on...
Oh, a bird just hit my window! It's ok....
Hugs xx

idajoy- Thanks for sharing and for the welcome! I'm 42, so no grandkids yet. Maybe in another 10 or so years. lol I can wait after these two little terrors.
spacepony! Good to see you again--though of course wish it wasn't for this. Overlap is definitely the name of the game. I was dx'd with fibro long, long ago. I figured out the CFS symptoms myself last year and took it to my doc. She's all "oh sure, that's what it is." Um, wish she'd told me sooner? I laugh about it now, but only b/c I have an answer and I'd otherwise go insane. I honestly think it's a combo of both for me. The pain is more than cfs is by itself by description and the fatigue is unbelievably more than what I used to have. Peaceful sleep and gentle hugs!
milily-thanks for the welcome! I peeked at your profile and wow! How do you do it? I am in awe of your nursing--so sorry you can't do it anymore! I'm so close to not working myself that I can relate. I hope your son gives you a little help. mine both demand time more than anything, but they try. Hope you have a good weekend!
Wonderbaby- thanks for the welcome! Twins, eh? Now I'm curious...
Laurab- Thanks for the welcome! I am slowly realizing that my working days might well be over. I'm a bit jealous of those grown children. Do they ever actually reach that age? It seems mythic to me. lol Thanks for the encouragement. I hope you have a great weekend!
gramybear- thanks for the welcome! I am in love with this little family already. Gentle hugs and have a great weekend!
Thanks to all of you for your kind and gentle support! I feel so welcomed and I appreciate the time you take to post. I hope you all have a low-pain and gentle weekend. Gentle hugs!
