Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.

Get some sass girl. Next time somebody makes a comment, fire back at them with one of the things we go through, like, "wouldn't you be cranky if you were in pain 24/7 and couldn't sleep??" (or fill in the blank) It's the invisible disease that makes this hard to deal with other people. Just know that you have a whole lot of love and support here. Hugs and prayers your way, JP
I am so sorry you had such a tough day!
I don't have much advice, just wanted to say you are not alone and there are people who understand and truly care.
I hope you have a much better day tomorrow!
But we are all in it together!
Maybe the best way to deal with them is to be completely silent about your fibro. Don't talk about it at all. Then they won't know what to do.
Well, as I said in a previous post....that's my 2 cents which aren't really worth anything because the u.s. treasury is doing away with pennies!
And borrow some of my lion roar and hiss and snarl.... While silence will baffle them, a well-placed, "Of course I'm cranky, I'm talking to YOU" has worked wonders on my family. They never talk to me at all now. I find it incredibly peaceful this way. (Yes, I really said that. I was pushed to extremes. They were/are horrible toxic nasty screwed-up pathetic sad people, and always bugging me about helping them out in court.... nuff said.)
:-)
I am so sorry for your pain. I totally understand. Just know that you are not alone. I will say a prayer that you will feel better soon. Gentle (((Hugs))) to you sweetie.
I totally understand how you are feeling. I went through something pretty awful a few years ago I have a sibling that didn't believe I was sick. She told another relative that I was faking it and that there was nothing wrong with me! Of course I was devastated when I found out and it made things so much worse for me. Needless to say we don't talk to each other and I am finally to a place where I am fine with that. It really did take me a long time for this to happen but I am so much better now with it. Now, I am not saying I will never speak to her again after all we are family (whether I like it or not) there will be times that we will be in the same place and will see each other. I just treat her as I would any stranger that I had just met. I am cordial and that's it! I think that suits both of us just fine and doesn't make anyone else around us uncomfortable either.
I hope you can one day soon get to where relatives are not close enough to you to hurt you anymore. Sometimes simple avoidance can be best for all involved.
Hugs to you!!
Take Care, Dawn
Steer clear as best you can of those that treat you bad. My sister and I don't even speak, but my other sister and I are as close as we can be, like two peas in a pod. No one has the right to judge anyone else. No one walks in my shoes but me. Let them know that anytime they want to trade places you are game. Keep your chin up, you don't suffer alone. Try to remember this always because all too often all of us feel too alone.
I'm still in pain this afternoon, have to work again later today but the pain isn't as bad as it was yesterday, so that's a plus! :)
Hugs,
Elizabeth
I am sorry you are having such a rough time of it. There will be better days, you have to believe. Everyone out there handles their pain in different ways, and carries it differently. I like DS because I have not seen any judgements as to the pain we all endure.
Goddess bless you
