I just joined and have read some of the discussions espically about meds. Just started Savella and am also on Neurontin, Nortriptylline, Zoloft as well as other meds for different conditions. I tried Lyrica but it made my short term memory disappear and I don't know if I every have gotten it back. Really affected my work. Just wanted to jump in and say hello. I try to just make sure I get up every day and move if it is only around the house.

welcome! I see you've been dealing with FM for a long time, so you'll be able to coach us! Great that you make yourself move around. It's the one biggest thing I think helps me: keep moving these limbs!

Hi Slyangel. Welcome to my Fibro Family :-) I was on Savella and my RLS went heywire. I'm on Lyrica and Cymbalta as well as other meds.. I had problems with my short term memory already.LOL TW

welcome to the group, i take Cymbalta, Namenda, Lortab, Baclofen, Klonopin and Abilify (I have bipolar disorder as well as fibro), i have had a hard time teaching myself to keep moving when i am hurting, but it really does seem to help

Cute the sly angel LOL not sure if that is a oximorin or not?

I have been on the Neurontin or as I call it Neur rotton but it has helped me just took 1200 mg and its time to finish the bathroom and kitchen floors.

I tried the Lyrica and I could not get off it fast enough! But what works for you maynot for the next person!

Yikes - do some reading about Serotonin Syndrome and med interactions - and then ask your pharmacist if all of those drugs are safe to be taking together.

I had to discontinue other serotonin enhancing drugs when I started to take Savella - just be careful.

Hello and welcome,

I was a bit alarmed to see that you are taking all those meds together. I know its common to take Lyrica and an anti-depressant, but 2 AD's plus Savella with a Neurontin topper?

I know we all have to try to find the right cocktail. How's that working out for you?

Im new to this group as well..but welcome anyway.lol. I belong to depression and bipolar and the one thing I do live by is to move as much as possible..no matter how depressed or physically hurt I may feel. My philosophy is baby steps and to try and get atleast one thing a day done. Even if it is only a load of towels. I find that by doing this..it makes me feel better.

I'm glad you make sure you get up every day and move even if it's only around the house. Staying in bed makes pain worse. Plus if you stay still too much you'll rust up like the tinman. Welcome to DS slyangel. Sorry the meds. are affecting your work and short term memory. That sucks. Hope you find something that helps without the side effects.
