It could be a pinched nerve caused by a muscle spasm or something else, but it could also be something serious and is a symptom that shouldn't be ignored.
Myofascial pain can cause numbness and tingling but I've never read that it would do that to muscles in the face and face. Mostly it would be in the legs.
I've been thru multiple nerve tests and MRI's and although the MRI did show I've had a stroke, they say that it is not the cause of the numbness I'm getting.
