But I would guess that your pain is probably related to your pH levels, beacuase when it's not in balance, your natural bacteria starts irritation your glands.

I have sex with my husband, and I just suffer through the pain, and then go and take a bath and cry. I never herd of Ph balance, but I am going to try it.
Are you on estrogen since you had a complete hyst? Without adequate estrogen, the vaginal tissues will atrophy / thin which can be very painful. Systemic estrogen may be enough to heal these tissues but sometimes isn't. In that case, a separate vaginal estrogen Rx (e.g., Estrace cream, Premarin cream, Vagifem tablets, Estring) can be used to heal the tissues and keep them healthy. Vaginal estrogen is also helpful for incontinence caused by low estrogen levels.
As for the pain... I simply have a yeast infection at the moment. Wouldn't think much of it, right? Well, almost every time I have sex it's like a fish hook - goes in fine, any pull back and holy moly I could cry if we tried to just keep going.
Western doctors don't know as much as they proclaim and ultimately, mother earth can do a damn good job if you know what to get from her.
